vietnamese red cross society seeks relief
here's my email cuz i know i'm going to get hatemail for this one. the vietnamese red cross society is claiming that scientific research conducted by the u.s. government into the claim that agent orange has caused the sicknesses and disabilities of many people living in vietnam is taking too long. they claim that they need help now and apparantly, the "experts" agree with them. here's the article on cbsnews.com. hey, i have an idea. before we start shelling out millions [more likely billions] of dollars to repair the damages to a country which we inflicted while at war with them, how about first we admit to the american people that we did this horrible thing, that it did cause these problems, then compensate in whatever way we can the thousands of american vietnam vets who were there and lived [or died] through all of it, contracted that shit, brought it home, and still have to live it with it today? and then beg forgiveness from our soldiers for doing that to our own people? how about we, just once, take care of our own, our valiant, our sufferers, before we bandage the arm of an [former] opponent? how about that?
