we're getting there, people
an article on abcnews.com highlights a specific function found on landsend.com [the web site for a large custom clothing company]. visitors to the site can go to a jhtml instant messenger page and "pose their queries" to live land's end reps ... and have them answered there. apparantly, "the average value of an order increases by 6 percent when" customers use the instant message function. very cool. just for fun, i found the link, so here.
