an animal's right to maul activists
a few days ago, a group of animal rights activists were tromping through yellowstone park when they encountered a mama grizzly bear and her two cubs [ooh, bad juju]. one of the activists dropped to the ground, one skinnied up a tree, one did nothing, and one ran. the one who ran who was subsequently attacked and mauled. he lived, but had to be airlifted to a nearby hospital. this is really too comedic for me to add anything, except to say that maybe the female grizzly was unhappy with the activists' recent lobbying efforts on her behalf. or maybe she just didn't like the slogans on their picket signs: "grizzlies, they're cute and furry" or "bears need hugs too" or "some bears prevent forest fires".
