plants used to mine gold
alfalfa plants are being used to mine gold because of their increased natural ability to lift materials, even heavy materials, from the soil they live in. this concept has been in circulation for a while in regard to cleaning up toxic chemical sites, but now they're using it for gold; small minute nanoparticles of gold, but it's still gold.
