google files patent application google has finally revealed their much of their page-ranking technology via a patent application with the US Patent & Trademark Office. if you want the "official" version [longwinded], here it is, but when skimming through a slashdot post on this, i found that one concerned reader posted a link to the truth. that can be found here.
