halo 3 rumors
due to be released the same time as the ps3, according to this time article [bugmenot if you need it] with bill gates back in may, the latest rumors regarding the content of halo 3 have been compiled and somewhat addressed over at rampancy.net. nice read. my favorite rumor is...

They’re attempting to implement both a map editor and a movie maker, which would allow players to send and receive their maps/movies through Xbox Live. This would apparently be on a separate disc, and they have an entire team working just on these two projects.

now i remember when they were promo-ing the movie maker part for halo 2. i remember seeing video clips that had "saved movies" as a menu item. but then at its release, nothing. double-plus ungood ref removed. but a map editor? even thinking about this makes my mouth uncontrollably drool saliva [and other fluids] all over my kybd. i don't wanna get my hopes up, but a map editor for halo 3 might just be the greatest accomplishment of mankind since...ever. the possibilities are simply endless. with the halo series already being the most advanced, most fluid, most stable multiplayer fps out there [imho], adding a map editor functionality to an already will-be-better-than-ever halo 3 for use on the not-even-released xbox360 is completely mind-boggling to me. i'm gonna not depend on that rumor, but let me take a second to fantasize...mmm...yeah...that's good stuff.
