so all this time, all the scientists are all hoping that there's life on mars. well nowwwwww, a NASA advisory panel is saying that we should rule out the possibility of life, specifically dangerous life, prior to manned missions to mars on accounta we might bring some dangerous shit back to our own planet which then has some tremendously adverse effect on our ecosystem [i'm paraphrasing]. don't get me wrong. damn good point, but why are we just now thinking of this? anyone? anyone? so the proposed solution for this potential problem is to design and build a new type of secure facility that hinders the potential for cross-contaminating the two planets, or really just earth, cuz who gives a fuck about mars. i think we just should terraform the shit out of it, and set us up a mining company.
