ways not to enter a federal courthouse
1. wearing your large backpack on your chest instead of your back.
2. carrying a grenade.
potential ramifications of ignoring the above guidelines? being shot by police. yet some people have to make their own decisions. like in this case. the suspect's still alive, but in "very serious condition". no shit. i would say he was in very serious condition _before_ he entered the courthouse with a grenade in his hand. here's an interesting note. after shooting the man, they evacuated the lower six floors of the 20-story courthouse. question: why six? is a threat posed to people on the sixth story that isn't relevant to those on the seventh? hmm? and if the concern was the potential explosion of the building [cuz of the unknown contents of the large backpack], what was to be the fate of the upper 14 stories? were they to continue on with their work day whilst the lower six stories fell to smithering ruins. i think i would be a bit perturbed at that decision. maybe even a bit urked.
