firefly comic book
so a friend of mine just picked up the first issue of the firefly comic book and brought it into work. its fuckin sweet. the artwork is pristine, the characters look great, and the storyline is classic firefly. so naturally i called the local comic shop that's carrying them, and naturally they're out of stock already. they've had 3 shipments and sold out almost immediately every time. sounds like a certain movie prescreening i know of. ahem. so i put my name on the list for the next shipment due in wednesday. seeing as how there's three different covers [mal, jayne, and inara], and they're only like $3 each, i'm picking up one of each cover. i think i'll collect me a set. and for anyone that doesn't already know, this three-part series will feature three different covers each issue, one for each of the nine crew members. here's the darkhorse covers for the rest of firefly comic series and here's some hi-res versions on the browncoats site. personally, my favorites are jayne and zoe, but maybe they should do another one so the 10th crew member doesn't feel left out.
