resident evil 5...
...is under development. the next release in the resident evil series will play on both the xbox 360 and the ps3 [nintendo's revolution was unmentioned in the capcom press release]. not much is known yet about the game, but what is known is:

apparently the camera work is going to follow the format of its predecessor, re4, which is good cuz the camera work was less than stellar before 4. also, this one seems to be taking place in or around a desert with many a bright-lit environment, but will still have plenty of dark and freaky scenes we remember from previous installments. there are hints that the main character is chris redfield from the original resident evil. finally, details are sketchy as to the nature of the enemies this time around, though i'm sure more details will rise to the surface. no release date yet, only the confirmation that it will _not_ be a launch title for either new console.
